We are pleased to be able to announce that, in line with official guidance, Boldon & Cleadon Community Library will reopen on a limited basis from Tuesday 14 July.
The Library will be open from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday 14, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July for the return of books only.
We hope to be able to open for book borrowing and computer use in the near future and will announce our opening hours as soon as they are finalised.

Closure of the Library due to Coronavirus

Now that the Government has eased many of the restrictions that had been in place, the Library is now looking for ways to begin functioning again in a way that complies with Covid 19 safety measures and so will keep everyone as safe as possible.  This means that risk assessments will be carried out for each event and approved by South Tyneside Council and all safety precautions taken in accordance with Government guidelines.

We continue to work with other local organisations to provide help and support and we shall keep you informed here.
